The decade since 9/11/01 has challenged and changed the interpretations of the Constitution advanced by the President, the Congress, and the Supreme Court. As security measures have increased and wars have been waged, what Constitutional powers have expanded? What Constitutional protections have been eroded? And for whom?
Join us for an engaging discussion with enlightening experts on this topic.
Titmus Theatre is located in Frank Thompson Hall which is on the NC State campus at the corner of Dunn and Jensen, off Pullen Road. It is building #105 on the Central Campus Map.
Constitution Day is observed every year as a way to celebrate the US Constitution and to educate NC State students on how this document impacts them as citizens.
All universities receiving federal funds are expected to observe Constitution Day each year. NC State complies with this expectation by maintaining this website and by hosting a panel discussion on topics of Constitutional concern each academic year.
The NC State Student Government recently passed a resolution to help promote Constitution Day on September 17 on NC State's Campus. The Student Government will be joining with other student organizations to distribute copies of the Constitution.
